I got a new laptop recently which runs Vista. I had been doing all of my
Access development on an XP laptop. I used the same install disk to install
Office on my new laptop that i used on the old XP laptop. Everything has been
working fine. But after trying to implement a new version of our software on
our server I found that Access is now using 'Microsoft ADO Ext 6.0 for DDL
and Security' on the new laptop - on my old XP system it was using Microsoft
ADO Ext 2.8 for DDL and Security, which is also the library that has been
used all along on the server. So the appl doesn't start up on the server now
unless I go into the appl and re-select the library thru Tools, References. I
would rather not have to do this every time I implement a new version (it's
not unusual for me put out new versions 2 or 3 times a week). Is there any
way to get the old 2.8 library on my vista machine (or get the 6.0 library on
the server)? Any help is much appreciated.
