Adobe writer prompt in Word

Is there any way of removing the "Can't create.." window
which opens when I go to Word. Can't and don't want to
install Adobe writer. Also want to remove from File drop
down menu.

Which version of Word are you using? you may disable this addon in Word by
choosing the Tools->Templates and addins dialog box.
