I just installed the Sort powertoy. Installation seemed to go smoothly.
But the sort icon isn't present. I have WinXP Home and .Net 2.0 installed.
Does the install add a command in the menu bar as well? Any ideas?

He did give you a poor rating in your actual job though ("overlooked in
design") ;)

I installed this add on. I checked to see if I had Net Framework 2 on my
computer but could not find it listed per se so I went MS Downloads,
downloaded it and was eventually told I already had it. So, it would appear
I am ready to go.

I reinstall this add on but am now given the choice to repair. I do that.

I see this add on listed as enabled in OneNote, it is listed under Programs
and Feature (Vista Home Premium) but can not find the tool bar associated
with this add on when right mouse clicking in the toolbar area. I also
rebooted the computer as well.

After spending the better part of an hour trying to find this, I gave up and
uninstalled this add on.

I think this is a great idea and was wondering why MS left out the ability
to list items alphabetically. (I bought a utility many years ago canned
JotNotes+ which allows you to make lists and sort them as you wish.)

Should I change any settings in the Network and Sharing Center?

it does not work for 2010 beta.

Why on OneNote 2010 the functionality has not been added? It's really basic
and needed if you use the product!
I have 71 notes and now is getting unusable!

The "Sort Pages" PowerToy (Patrick's link) works pretty fine under 2010
Beta.
The same with the "Sort Sections" PowerToy

Good question :-(

I agree. But the developers obviously did not integrate what is
available as a PowerToy

Use the PowerToy and you'll be settled ;)

Rainald -- I've also noticed situations where the sorting powertoys
have not worked properly under 2010. I understand that they can be
recompiled(?) with some minor modifications to the code, but I'm not
comfortable with that.

It actually makes MORE sense to integrate into the product that which
is so successful as a powertoy. Better to have it organic to the
product than via a third-party add-in, especially something so
fundamental as sorting pages and sections.

PS: Sorry for the gap (again) in my activity, just got home from the

100% d'accord.
The developers obviously had a different view :-(

Thanks. I'm afraid it might be a long road, so I do appreciate the
