Alternative Resource Assignment for a fix task duration

Hi,

Assume that we have a fix duration for each task and we are able to have
different alternative to assigning the resources to each task.
1-Is it possible to have different alternative assignment?
2-IF Yes, How MP select the optimal alternative for assigning the resources?
And what is the logic behind the optimization process?

Hi,
there is no automatic alternative assignments in Project. If your first
choice resource cannot deliver, then you need to manually assign a
replacement.

This should actually be less work for you as you only need to re-assign
resources that are not available rather than assign multiple, potentially
unnecessary resources to all tasks!
