Applying filters simultaneously

Dear sir ,
I have created one filter for Late tasks and each one for Electrical,
PHE and other activities. Now I want to apply both of them simultaneously.
Like late acivities of PHE . I can do it by manually selecting both the
different columns and applying respective filters. But I can I do it just by
using combination of two different filters simultaneously?

It is not possible to do it "simultaneously" directly. You have to be
more specific and tell the computer what "simultaneously" means by
yourself combining the two filters into filter definition which combines
both ideas of how to filter.

First, think of what logic you want. Is it:?

Option 1 for New Filter = [Late Tasks] *and* [Electrical PHE]
Option 2 for New Filter = [Late Tasks] *or* [Electrical PHE]

Once you decide which these are, then define a new filter which combines
into multiple rows exactly what you want.

You are applying two filters consecutively and gettting the result you would
get if they were applied "simultaneously"

If you want to avoid the extra step of applying a second filter, you can
create a single filter that does both things for you.

Project/Filter/More Filters...
Select New, this reveals the "Filter Definition" dialog box
Give the filter a name and (optionally) select to show it in the menu
In the criteria, you want Field Name=Status, Test=equals, and Values(s) =
Late.
On new lines use the "And" to concatenate the additional criteria:
AND, resource Name=PHE, etc.

If you choose to show the filter in the menu, it becomes available in two
places:
1. In the filter drop down.
2. Project/Filter...

If you wish the filter to be available to all project files you use on that
machine, you can move it to the Global.mpt (master template) file:

Tools/Organizer...
pull the filters tab and move if from the right to the left (into the Global).
