Applying shadow to text box without blurring the text

I am designing a document that makes use of text boxes. I would like to apply a shadow to them; when I apply a shadow using the toolbox option, I get the shadow, but it also blurs the text within the text box. I'd like to get the shadow without the blur. I've adjusted the blur slider (wherever it was I found it), but when i got rid of the blur, I also got rid of the drop shadow.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Tom R.

I have the same issue. In Word 2004 the text box had an automatic outline and putting a shadow around t was very easy. In Word 2008 there is no automatic outline and not only is the shadow blurry, the text in the box also prints with a shadow! I have an open case on this and have been told it is a real issue.

Both of you:

Yes, it is a known bug.

It should be fixed in the next update.

Cheers
