Open the Gallery, tools, restore, this will compact your Gallery.
The Clip Gallery has its own help files, there are troubleshooting steps you can go
through.

These steps will install the filters and converters.
Start Office setup
Click Add or Remove Features
In Office 2000: Update Features dialog box, click the plus sign (+) next to
converters and filters.
Click the list next to Graphics Filters and click to select run all from my computer
Click update now.

Are you online while you are trying to get clip art? With Publisher 2003
there is very little clip art that came with the program. The majority of it
is online.

Now that we know you are using 2003, there is a Knowledge Base article that addresses
your issue
You cannot preview or insert images correctly when you use Web Collections to search
the Internet for clip art thumbnails in Office 2003
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;822518
However it states what was advised before, empty your Internet Temp folder.

If you think your filter maybe corrupt, you can refresh it/them.
The filters are in a folder similar to this:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Grphflt
Rename the filter that is associated with the image your tried to download, i.e. .wmf
to WMFIMP32.OLD, drag a new instance of this filter from your setup disk.

Have you tried a "detect and repair" under help?

Do you have AOL? Some more information that may help. In the Internet Explorer,
tools, Internet Options, click settings, click view objects, on the toolbar, view,
details, delete any object that says damaged or unknown.

Still need help

I APPRECIATE THE HELP. However the problem has not been corrected. I am using
clip organizer. The problem repeats itself in Powerpoint also. I am using
office 2003.

I removed the damaged and unknown items as you suggested. No Change. I reran
the clip organizer, compacted.

The clips on the web come through. How do I find all the clip art on my hard
drive I added from Publiser 95, 97, and 2000? I love some of the that old
art. Is there a solution?

You can re-install the Gallery if it has been removed. There is an add-in here:
http://www.publishermvps.com/Default.aspx?tabid=43
Drag the CAG to your desktop and create a shortcut. You can't insert from it this
way, but you can drag and drop.
CAG is in a folder similar to this:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Artgalry
In your applications, insert, object, scroll down to Microsoft Clip Gallery.

Right-click any .wmf image, properties, what program do you have associated with this
type file?

When you download, are you opening on the ClipArt site or are you saving to your hard
drive. If it is the latter, you will have to double-click the downloaded file, it
will expand then the clips will automatically go into your Organizer.
If this isn't a solution coulb be your Organizer is corrupt...

1. Click Start, point to Search, and then click For Files or Folders.
2. In the Search for files or folders named box, type mstore10.mgc. Click Search Now.
3. Right-click your Mstore10.mgc file, click Rename on the shortcut menu, and change
the three-letter file name extension from .mgc to .old.
4. Run Clip Organizer.

Clip Organizer creates a new Mstore10.mgc file automatically.
After Clip Organizer creates the new catalog file, you must re-import any custom
clips that you previously imported, and retype any clip property information that you
manually created.
