Archived Emails Don't Show Up

I recently had to wipe my hard drive and reintsall Win2k.
Before I wiped the drive I backed up my Outlook Files to a
PST archive. I checked the date on the archive and put it
on an external drive before deleting it.

I then (1) reinstalled Win2k and Office XP (2) put my
archived PST file on my mahcine (3) opened the PST file in
Outlook.

Problem is, the PST only contains emails up to four months
ago. I should emails up to yesterday. Could it be that
Outlook is not recognizing newer emails formats for
something??

Please advise if you know something about this.

Sounds like you had autoarchiving enabled, which moves messages older than a
certain length of time to a PST usually named "Archive.pst". If that is the
case and you didn't copy that PST along with your main PST, your old
messages are gone with the formatting.
