archiving mail

I run Outlook 2000 on mostly W2K pcs. I have a user who has multiple archive folders because the .pst file had become too large so I started building a new one. When I tell Outlook to archive, however, it does produce the icon by the system time clock that says "Archiving. ." , but nothing gets added to the new .pst file. Any ideas
Thank you.

Check to see whether each folder has archive settings that bypass the global
setting.
