arrow keys don't move from active cell to adjacent cell

When in an active cell, my arrow keys move the entire page, not just from one
active cell to the next. I want to use the arrow keys to move from one cell
to the adjacent cell. Using MS Project 2003.

Does this happen in any other application? Project only has an option to
move the cursor down a row when you press Enter (default) but nothing else.
I've never heard of this behavior before.

What keyboard are you using? If it's not a standard keyboard, try swapping
to a standard keyboard and see if the behavior persists. If it doesn't try
getting the latest drivers for your keyboard.

Hi Catherine ,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

Have you got the scroll lock switched on?

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

Hi Rod,
Thanks for your answer. Another person wrote and asked if I had my scroll
lock on, which I did! Now the arrow keys work fine. Thanks again.

Mike, Awesome! It did the trick. Thanks so much! (It was really starting
to bug me.) Have a good week.

Catherine.

I unstand this may be related to 'scroll lock' key. Which key(s) is that on
a standard Mac keyboard??
