arrowheads wont show in loaded doc file (word 2000)

I have a drawing with dimension lines that I have printed
and saved. When I reload the document, the lines are there
but no arrowheads are showing.

Word's draw objects have been noticeably buggy in 2k-. The 2002+
drawing canvas is nicer, but I havent used it much yet to find out if
it falls over.

For callout solutions I tend to label the graphic with letters using
Paint and refer to those.
