asking again about wrong timesheet entries

Hi,

I was asking i had set 8 hours in one task per day.
because our duty period is also 8 hours.
and when i entered 8 hours in one task . then why time sheet accepting the
more hours in others task .
I think it is a wrong behaviour of time sheet.

for example:

if the manager assign the two tasks to team member and team member will
enter two time 8 hours in one day in both tasks it will be 16 hours in one
day and our duty period is 8 hours . i was asking why the time sheet
accepting more hours in other tasks when i entered 8 hours in one task.

On the Tracking Settings page in PWA, the "Maximum number of hours..."
option limits the number of hours that a team member can enter per day for a
SINGLE TASK. Read the text on the page. That's what it says. If you have
set that value to 8 hours, it will not allow a team member to enter more
than 8 hours for any one task. On the other hand, it will not stop a team
member from entering 8 hours of work each on three separate tasks in the
same day, yielding 24 hours of total work that day. I know this may not
make sense, but that's how the system works. Hope this helps.
