Where would be the very best place to start reading about this? I am
reasonably proficient in ASP....

A good starting point is http://www.asp.net. This web site is a Microsoft
web site, but along with lots of help, articles, and tutorials, also
contains links to a number of other good ASP.Net web sites.

Hi Murray,

While you can hand-write ASP.Net, it's not nearly as simple as ASP. If it's
cost you're concerned about, try Visual Studio Web Developer Express Edition
(which is free):
