Assign resources help

i have 6 tasks that run for various durations with various prioritie
and various start dates.
I currently have a resource (designer) applied to all of these tasks a
100%.

What i want to be able to do is assign the resource at a specific % fo
a set amount of Days.

For example....Days 1-20 i will have 500% Designers to distribute. Bu
Days 21-30 I will have 200%, and Days 31-40 I will have 800%.

Is there a way to do this?

I tried assigning each task higher and lower amounts, but if the tas
overlaps these different day groups...then i can adjust the % withou
effecting earlier durations

We need to know more about the environment you are operating in really.
If you have a resource group of designers (rather than individually
identified designers) then you can set the availability on a calendar
basis for that resource group (double click on the resource group name
in the Resource Sheet).

Doing the above won't change the resource distribution on individual
tasks. However, it will mean that when you level multiple tasks can be
scheduled simultaneously to cater for the changing availability.

If you want to change the amount of effort being expended on certain
tasks for certain time periods, then only you can enter that.

You could break tasks up into subtasks and assign your resources at the
varying levels of effort to each of those subtasks.
