Attachements do not arrive

When sending an attachment it doesn't arrive at the
receiver, however it does show up as attached in my "sent
items folder". What setting do I need to change??

It could be that it's being removed by the receiving mail server or the
email account on the computer is set to not receive attachments due to a
potential virus.
