Attachment associated programs

Hi. When I get a GIF or JPEG attachment, if I choose to open it, Outlook
opens Macromedia Fireworks, when all I really want is to view the picture in
the Microsoft Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. I'm guessing I have to change
a registry key to make this happen - could someone point me in the right
direction?

Thanks.

This can be changed with Control Panel>Folder Options>File Types. Locate
the file types "GIF", "JPG", and "JPEG" and associate them with the program
you want.

Hi,

There is an easier way to do this...

Open Windows Explorer, go to Tools, Folder Options. There
choose File Types. Then look for the format gif and jpeg
and normally it will tell you it will open those
attachments with Macromedia Fireworks.

To change, click on the button and select/browse to the
application which need to open this file, MS Photo
Editor, MS Internet, MS Paint ...

Please take into account that the steps may vary
depending on the OS you have...

Rgds,

Joinken
