attachment icon - misleading

My incoming/outgoing emails often indicate that there is an attachment - when
none is intended ie. when the 'attachment' is opened, it is simply a copy of
the actual email message.

Can anybody tell me why this is happening - and how it can be corrected? I
am using Windows XP Home.

Many thanks for anyone's suggestions.

Hi,

This could be caused when the server strips your email and sends it as an
attachment. Or it could be because of the following settings.

Go to Tools>Options>Mail Format and select 'HTML' as the selection for
Message Format.

Thanks,

Mittu

No, select "Plain Text" as the selection for Message Format.
