Attendance help

Hello, I wnat to be able to keep track of employee attendance on a calander
view for the whole year. I took some info I found from a sample database I
had and put together a form you enter the date and name of the employee and a
form that opens up in a calendar view and shows the month and attendance for
the employee for the chosen month. I am strugling with this because I really
cant figure out how it works. On the form "Criteria selection" I have to
choose a full date which thats what I dont want to do I just want to be able
to choose a year and employee and up will come a callender showing the
attendance for that employee for the year but in a calendar. I have posed
this question on a forum with the sample database I have done so far. Just
choose any date for October and employee Chad Z and it will bring up a
calendar for ctober with the first two days say worked. I just manually
entered that info into the tbl as to right now I dont have a way to enter
