Audio clips

I cannot get pub 2003 to run audio clips off my web site. I use a series of simple text boxes to set up links to audio files on my site. I have never had a problem setting these up in 2000. When I try this in 2003, I select insert hyperlink, pick a wav or mp3 just as I did with 2000, and select OK. When I test with web page preview they will not run. When I place the pointer over the text box I get a flyover indicating the proper path to the file. I have also published the files (save as web page in 2000) to see if the audio files appear in the publish folder as they did in 2000. I have attempted to save this site back to pub 2000 but I cannot open it in 2000(on another machine) after I have done that. It gives me a file locked message even though the file is not in use by any other program. What's the method for making my audio clips work?

From help:
In a Web publication, hyperlinks will not function properly if they are located in a
text box or with BorderArt. You can restore the hyperlinks in your publication by
removing any BorderArt from the text boxes or AutoShapes that contain hyperlinks.

Thank you for your reply but I'm still not clear on this. If I can't use a text box to link to an audio sample what do I use? Can you tell me why this useful and easy to apply feature was removed from the product? A casual uncomplicated web site builder like myself could use pub 2000 with tremendous ease but with pub 2003 I have nothing but problems and the software offers no functional user's manual only this on-line stuff

In a nut shell I was using 10 simple text boxes to link to 10 audio files as part of an on-line contest for a party I throw every year. How do I do that with 2003

Sorry to sound like an idiot Dave but I went through "web design" and I can find neither my original post over there nor your 4/17 reply. I seem to be having about as much luck with "the community" as I do with pub 2003
