Auto-add graphs (small pie charts) next to visio shapes?

Posting this in visio.general in the hopes that this doesn't require extreme
visio.developer skills. Using Visio2007 on XP, Office 2003. Good Excel VBA
skills, no experience with the visio object model.

I used the org chart wizard to create basic org charts, which I then went
through and moved the layout around to get it all to fit better per page. I
have a total of five 11x17 pages (each in a separate file), each almost
completely full of org chart 'boxes'.

For about half the people on each page, I'd like to add a symbol next to
their box, something like a pie on pie (or donut on pie), so I have a
circular digram with two "levels", an inner and outer loop. This data will be
an individual 'dashboard' showing how much of their time is allocated vs.
spent on different projects. We have folks assigned to different projects
(20% project A, 30% project B, 50% project C) so the time will show how well
their actual time matches the assignments.

I can generate the graph (and export it as a jpg or other as necessary) from
Excel2003, but I'm wondering if there is any way to automatically place the
shapes in visio, other than just pasting/moving each one by hand.

Assuming that at least some VBA is needed, I'd welcome pointers to any MVP
FAQ pages on Visio VBA, or anything else that might be relevant.

Thank you!
Keith
