auto correct spelling

hi,
does anyone know why outloook 2002 does not auto correct
when you type the word incorrectly, i.e. ahd instead of
had. i thought it was supposed to correct as you type. do
i need to set up something to cause that to happen.

Outlook > Tools > Options > Spelling

Choose how you want AutoCorrect to operate, then click OK.

thanks hugh, but i did that already and it does not auto
correct when i type. that is what i cannot figure out- it
is all set up to auto correct as i type, but fails to do
so. any other thoughts? thanks, margaret
