Auto exec macro

I am usnig Sharepoint 2003 and when I save my ppts to a shared document area
it opens them in working view. The older version of sharepoint used to open
them in ppt show view. Is there an Auto exec macro I can create to have the
ppt open and run in show view as soon as it is clicked. Hope this makes
sense.

You can do this by changing the file association for the .PPT file extension
from PowerPoint open to PowerPoint show, but this will change the double
click behavior for all presentations on that one computer. (Local solution)

You could change the extensions on the files stored in sharepoint system
from .PPT to .PPS which tells PowerPoint to open this file in the show mode,
not the edit mode. (Global solution)

To change the file association (local change) follow these steps. Note that
this solution will change the way that the one machine opens ALL PowerPoint
ppt files when double clicked. ALL PPT files on this machine will open in
show mode.

Open My Computer => Tools => Folder Options => File Types (tab) => (select
from list) PPT => Advanced => (select from list) Show => Set Default => OK
out of everything

To change the file type (global change) open the explorer window that shows
the file names. You will want to change the file extension from .ppt to
..pps (myPres.ppt => MyPres.pps) repeat this for all the files. This
extension does not change the contents of the presentation in any way, just
how PowerPoint opens it.
