Auto opening an embedded .doc

I have embedded a .doc within a .doc. How can I get the embedded .doc to open when clicking on a hyperlink within the original .doc? I'd like to click on a hyperlink and have it automatically open the embedded .doc (not a link to a bookmark)

Thanks

Hi,

Linking and Embedding:
Click in the document where you want to place the linked or embedded
object. From the Insert menu, select Object, and then click on the Create
From File tab.

The information will be placed into your document at the point indicated.
This process takes a small amount of time so be patient. The table will
show as a selected object. To prevent this from happening, deselect the
Float over text box.

The second way to accomplish this task is to simply cut and paste from and
existing file.

1. Select the information from the source file, to create a linked or
embedded object.
Click Copy
Switch to the destination file, and position the cursor to the proper
placement.

On the Edit menu, select Paste Special.
To create a linked object, click on Paste Link.

To create an embedded object, click Paste. In the As box, click the entry
with the word "object" in its name.

In order to check your link. Close out of the MS Word document. Open the
source file, make some correction and save the file. When you reopen your
destination file the object should reflect the change. If it does not, then
you have created an embedded object.

Please let me know has this helped You...
Thank You...

Sorry, I'm past this step. Maybe I should tell you what I (really) need to do

Within a .doc, I need to have a hyperlink (or something to that effect) which, when clicked, will open another .doc in a separate window. However, both .docs must be sent via e-mail in a single file (non-zip). I have already embedded a .doc within a .doc--thought that might solve the answer. However, I can't get my hyperlink to open the embedded .doc. I think I may need a script, but I know nothing about VB

Hope that helps.
