Just recently jpg attachments in Outlook 2000 are changed to zip files
before they are transmitted. I have not changed anything nor can I find
where to disable this function. I do not want them zipped! Any help? Al

Check Tools/addins
OL2K doesnt have any native zip capability, you must have installed
something

Hmmm I have OutLook 2000, and from the Tools menu there is
no "add-ins"

Actually it's Tools | Options | Other tab | Advanced Options button -- there
are two buttons on the Advanced Options dialog, "Add-In Manager" and "COM
Add-Ins". Check both of those. QuickView Plus is a popular add-in that can
be configured to automatically zip outgoing attachments over a certain size.

If you have Quick View Plus installed, it is causing this behavior. Turn
off the option under its options menu.

Thanks David, went where you suggested and there it was - Quick View Plus
added that little feature. Any file over a certain value would be zipped.
I unchecked the box. Thanks Al

Thanks David, Your suggestion led me right to the culprit! Quick View Plus
was configured to zip file attatchments over a certain size. I unchecked
the box.
