Automated Email not working

User is trying to email automatically from within the
FrontPage code and receives the following error.
FrontPage extensions have been installed on the server.
Automated emailing is currently working within ASP code.
When he clicks on the submit button the error received
is:

Front Page Run-Time Component PageYou
You have submitted a form or followed a link to a page
that requires a web server and the FrontPage Server
Extensions to function properly.

This form or other FrontPage component will work correctly
if you publish this web to a web server that has the
FrontPage Server Extensions installed.

* Are you sure the FP extensions are installed on the
server?

* Did you publish usign ftp or http?

As far as I know FP extensions and ASP have no relation.

They published using HTTP. I know the two are not
related. My experience comes from emailing within ASP. I
have never tried to email from a regular FrontPage .htm
page.

Has the forms to email transport been properly configured on the host
server? Also, the FP Form Page that is being emailed cannot be asp, must be
..htm

Version 4.0.2.7802 shows in the server extensions tab -
again I am running Windows 2000 IIS version 5 Thanks

cmd

I have listed the 5 fields I have to enter information to
and the info I have entered.
Web server's mail address: (e-mail address removed)
contact address: (e-mail address removed)
SMTP mail server: wd_hnet.hendrickson-intl.com
Mail encoding: use default encoding
Character set: use default encoding

I can't see why it would matter but we use Lotus Notes
version 5 as our email package.

Hi Tom,

I have managed to get a .ASP page to send email ok.

When saved as ASP the email form action is incorrectly set to be the ASP
page istelf rather than the email form handler DLL.

e.g. action="_vti_bin/shtml.dll/sendemail.htm" NOT action="sendemail.asp"

Ian.
