automatic calculation does not work

Our Project Prof is defined for Automatic calculation. I'
ve noticed that this is not working on custom number or
cost fields, the field is updated for a task but the
summary task is not updated as long you don' t select and
deselect the cell.
Is this normal?
Other setting required?
Or bug?

Kurt,
Take a look at the settings in the custom fields window. The middle
option for calculating task and group summary rows should be set for
"rollup" or "formula".

If I defined it as rollup and eg sum, the
update/recalculation takes only place if I select the cell
and leave the cell.
If i defined use formula it's done immediately.
Why does the system does not to an automatic calculation
for roll-up sum? This confuses people if you have PWA
views which are not up to date.

Sorry you jumped out of my sphere of knowledge. I do not have Project
server and therefore can't help you with PWA. Hopefully, someone else
will step in or you might try posting to one of the server newsgroups.
