automatic milestones

Is it possible to create a task which automatically updates itself with
respect to percentage complete, based on the percentage complete
statuses (stati?) of its predecessors?

eg:

Task % Predecesssor
1 Product ready for test 50 10, 15
..
..
10 Engineering Complete 60
..
..
..
20 Documentation Complete 40

Hi,

I'm afraid your interpretation of the idea of a predecessor is noit the same
as MS Project's.
A task (successor) is supposed not to start before teh predecessors are
finished!
But you may well be looking for a summary task where % complete and % Work
complete are defined by the status of the subtasks.
But againg, this is not called a milestone, it is a summary task.
