Automatic Slide Advance Problem

TBSJ

This is Jeremy. I am using Windows XP Home Edition SP2, Vers 2002;
Microsoft Office 2002 (Microsoft Office XP).

I have a problem on increasing the timing of automatic slide advance.
(I click 'Slide Sorter' in 'View', then right click a slide then click
'Slide Transition'. On the Task Pane, under 'Advance Slide', I check
'Automatically after' ...)

Problem in detail:
The main problem is that I cannot increase the timing of automatic
slide advance, the limit is only until 1 second (00:01). Although it is
only until 1 second, when I click 'Apply to All Slides', the time shown
under the slide is '00:00'.

How can I repair this? Please do not tell me to fix timings in
'Rehearsal', actually, I am able to do it, but it is very troublesome.
I have tried 'Detect & Repair', but to no avail. I also tried typing the
timing, failed. I have cleared all
viruses, spywares, adwares etc (but I found some spywares and adwares
only, I have cleared them), but still a failure. I restarted my
computer and tried the next day, but it is still the same.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Jeremy, you already have a thread going. It would be good to keep all the
info in the same thread so we know what you're already tried.

Besides, I think I was waiting on a response from you about whether you'd
used the Rehearse Timings feature to set your transitions. (Or something
like that.)

I do not use "Rehearse Timings" feature. It is quite troublesome.

Okay, thank you. I cannot reproduce this issue. Hopefully someone else will
have ideas.

I am going to put a full-stop for this thread because I have found the
solution! The solution was: Download the Office Update. Thanks to Glen Millar
(MVP), the solution was the best! I am going to tell my friends that we do
not need to waste money to get a repairman to solve it. Why not spend time
going here and wait for some replies? Spending money without going here is
really not worth it!
