Automatic update of % work complete on the task level

How does MS Project 2003 update the % work complete automatically?
I have a task that occurs everyday for 6 months. Instead of manually
updating the % complete can MS Project do that automatically?

Hi Vicky,

Have you looked at the Tools>Tracking>Update Project command? It will set a
% complete (duration) based upon where the task was expected to be by the
status date. It will also update the % work complete as long as the option
"Updating task status updates resource status" on the Calculation tab of the
Tools>Options dialog box is enabled. Not completely automatic but fairly
quick.
