Automatically chaning a project plan field color when editing

All,

I need to enable a filed in the Project Plan in such a way that when
ever it gets touched, I need to flag that change with a color.

Any quick help?

There is no "quick help" for this problem. First, fields can't be
individually color coded. Second, trapping all the potential changes that can
be made is not an easy thing and there are exceptions to how it works which
could cause problems for you.

The easiest thing to do is to save a baseline and a copy of the file before
you make changes and use the "compare versions" add-in to figure out what has
changed.

This is not possible with basic project, you might be able to using vba. Try
