Autosave in Word XP ?!?

I have the autosave set to 2min in Word XP. I made changes to a document,
waited the 2min and saw the autosave icon at the bottom activate. I closed
word and chose not to save changes to test the autosave fuction for when
Word encounters an error and has to close. How do I recover the autosaved
document?

Hi Nathan,

Word has an autorecovery feature, that creates temporary
copies of Word documents at intervals specified in
Tools=>Ptions=>Save, but those files (.asd) are automatically
deleted when you close Word normally.

Autosave of documents, similar to Autosave in Excel
requires a Word Add-in or macro such as the Save Reminder
macro (that can be set to do the save as well) from this
