autotext header/footer>filename and path

When trying to insert an autotext>header/footer>filename and path, it does
not display the actual filename and path it just shows [Filename/path]

That's the field code. To see the field result, press Alt+F9, which is a
shortcut for going to Tools > Options > View and clearing the Field Codes
checkbox.

The Field Codes box was unchecked, so the Alt+F9 did not do it. The thing
that is confusing me is, there are many computers here, but this is the only
one not inserting the footer correctly. Just a note- none of the autotext
options are working on this computer, using XP Pro and Office 2003.

Perhaps your Normal.dot has been overwritten with a document so that
AutoText entries are not available. See
