It's possible to insert avi objects into Word Documents but how can I make
the document portable so that I can send it to another user with the avi
object intact and capable of running?

The support for AVI comes from Windows, so generally
there shouldn't be a problem with the AVI 'working'
when embedded in a .doc file although some folks
have turned over the .AVI file association to
an alternate 'player' that may want to run it 'separately'.

Thanks Bob, my main problem is that we insert the avi in the Word (2000)
document and send it to someone else, they try and run the avi and it trys to
find the original file. I've tried sending the document with the avi files
as well but without any joy. It may be I am not inserting the avi correctly
but I've tried a number of different options. Any more thoughts would be
really appreciated.
