background picture becomes blurr

when a picture is inserted and expanded to form a background, the image
becomes blurr

If you enlarge the image to screen size using an image software, is it also
blurry? Is it just this picture or is it all of them?

Some pictures just do not contain enough detailed resolution to make a good
background.

If the picture in question does not contain many dots/pixels (e.g. a small image from the internet) that would explain
why you are see what you are seeing.
