BackUp email

I am using Windows 2000 now and I want to put in a new hard drive and format
it and install Windows XP, I will probably use Pro, but could use HOME.

How does one backup or whatever, everthing in the original drive and then
copy those files to the new drive. Then while in the new drive I should be
able to see all the old email I have received and sent. Basically, I want to
make the move transparent on the new Drive.

This is not an Outlook question.

I'd first use the cloning softeware that likely comes with the new disk (opr
is avvailable from the disk vendor's web site) to clone the W2K system to the
new disk. I'd then install XP.
