banners using a HP 990cse

Hello
I have been racking what little brain I have for many hours now, and I can't
for the life of me get a 8.5" x 6' banner to print. Does anyone know if
there are any conflicts with this printer ? I keep getting a message when I
go to print that says "publisher object to large to print
publisher may not be able to print all the objects in your publication do to
printer limitations. Try lowering the resolution of your printer using the
properties button on the print dialog box. To continue printing, click ok.
To cancel printing, click cancel." when I do either one I get a print error.
The closest I've got to changing the res. is the Best, Normal & Draft
buttons in Properties, with no results in any of them. I have checked
rechecked and tried many different settings, notta. Any help or info would
be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance, Chris

Chris, I know I know I know I heard it rattling here you were racking it so
hard.
Chris you see it makes a hell of a noise when it is such a small volume of
mass in a large cavity.
Man oh man, you need some lubrication in there before you do more damage
running it dry - a good pilsner or lager would do.

It is after all an HP printer, so you must expect some problems.

You mean 8½" hmmmm now what is that in Englise 216mm

Chris, I would suggest you have a mismatch in the settings between the page
size in Publisher and the page size you have the printer set for.
Printing a banner that size in Publisher should not be a problem. There are
no known issues to do doing it other than faulty printer drivers which is a
hallmark of HP. Don't expect HP to fix anything.
Check the HP website to see if they have a later version of the printer
driver for your model printer and operating system.
Next time buy a decent quality printer as it makes the computing experience
far more enjoyable and trouble free.

Chris, 48" is the max banner size the Publisher can produce on one sheet of
paper without having to use tiling.
