Bar styles problems

I can't seem to get task bars to change colour when using the format menu. I
have gone to format / bar styles, and then inserted a row and changed its
colour, and indicated it to show for flag 1 tasks, and all i can get to
change is the link between tasks, not the actual bar. i have also followed
the points on FAQ 31, and still have no success. Does anyone have an answer,
i am struggling!!

The order of styles matters. Styles later in the list will write over
earlier styles. You can use this to your advantage, but it can also work
against you. Try moving the style based on Flag1 to the end of the list.
