Bar, then dotted line - why??

Tricky

I have an activity that is 96 hours long with various resources against it,
however MSP is only giving me a bar for the first 24 hours, then a dotted
line for the remainder of the task.

Consequently my resource profile only shows up against the first 24 hours of
this task.

The resource calenders are set up for 24 hour working, and it's not a split
task, so what's going on?

It means that there is no work assigned for the dotted part of the the task.
Switch to the task usage view to see the details for the assignments.

Hi tricky,
Have had that problem many times myself. Easiest way I have found to
eliminate it is to cahnge the durationto zero, then redo the duration to the
original time frame. I have had this phenomenon without resources being
allocated to the task and have yet to see why it happens. It gets tricky
when it happens on a task with proghres, as I have to set both duration and
progress to zero, then redo bot the progress and duration.

Hope this helps
