Batched input to Visio 5.0

Paul Rawnsley

Greetings from northern Australia

I have Visio 5.0
At work we have a huge application on our mainframe and we
use Control/M to run it - Control/M is a scheduler package

I have each job dependency listed and I'd like to feed a
file of this information in to Visio and have a flowchart
drawn up.

Is this possible? If so, how can I do it?

Thanks in advance,
Paul

You can do this via VBA in Visio.

e.g Feed a text file with the information into Visio. Visio runs a VBA macro
to create the shapes, place and connect them using the information in the
file. Depending on your network setup, you can also do a real-time flowchart
analysis type document.

Thanks Ronnie. I'll give it a try.
