Blacked Out Navigation Text

I've just moved up to FP 2002 and have run into a strange
problem ... the text in my navigation bars is blacked
out. Doesn't matter what Theme I'm using, or even if I
start new webs, the problem persists. I've
deleted/reinstalled the program, run Detect & Repair,
nothing seems to work. After working for years with FP 98
and 2000 this problem is really bugging me!
Any suggestions?
THANKS!
Alan

If you are using NVIDIA Video card this has been reported to be caused by using a graphics driver higher than 30.82 (downloaded from
Windows Update which offers 40.85?)

Other users have reported the rolling back to a specific WHQL certified NVIDIA driver clears the problem.
Download the older drivers, then UNinstall your version through add/remove programs first before installing the new drivers.
The W9x OS drivers are at:
http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?IO=win9x_archive
or for the XP or 2K OS are at:
http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?IO=winxp-2k_archive"
In both cases users report rolling back to version 30.82 works to solve the problem

Quoted from another User
"I have all versions of the NVIDIA drivers and have found that all versions after 30.82 will cause this problem (even if they are
WHQL). I did a systematic retro-install of each previous version of the drivers until I got to version 30.82 which fixed the
problem."

Stefan,
Thanks for the tip! I haven't heard of my NVICDIA card
being the problem but it makes sense. I'll give it try.
Thanks!
