Blank pages printing - Word 2008

How are you saving as PDF?

Are you using the little AdobePDF menu item?

Or are you actually going to *Save As...* and then choosing PDF?

If your using the adobe PDF menu item. Then adobe PDF doesn't pickup
blank Pages. In order to create Blank pages you but type some junk text
then hit line return until it jumps to next page. Then you must go back
to the junk text and change the font color to same as Background.

Where as office 2008 if you use the PDF in the save as menu now accepts
*page breaks* in that case you could try <page break> <return> <Page
Break> then continue your document. Then go to *Save As...* then choose
PDF and see what happens. The way the adobe Pdf Spec is written it
doesn't comprehend MicroSofts' Page and Section Breaks because there is
too much informations for acrobat to comprehend. By Office2008 format is
new and They y can be read correctly.

I know I've tried a Document that needed several Page Breaks and using
Save as PDF through Save As... menu does work as it should.

Hi Beth,

I am also trying to use the ‘Save As PDF’ function, but it is also
showing up as blank. Is it using the same printer driver to render intoPDF?

It seems that all of you with this problem are using Xerox printers,
right? That can’t be coincidence! So ... while we wait for more
info from MSFT, how about contacting Xerox about this? Tell them
that there have been no reports of this problem with other printers,
just Xerox, so they don’t automatically try to pass it off as a
MSFT-only issue. Be sure to give them full details of the
circumstances and your versions of Office and the OS.

Please report back here with anything you find out!!

Thanks,

BLANK PAGES PRINTING ...but in Excel!

I am having a similar problem, but in Excel only! I recently added Leopard to my iMac and while it appears that I have full functionality in Excel and Word, EXCEL will preview all Excel documents blank. Is it possible that the problem is being introduced by Leopard? I can copy the Excel document to Word and it appears and prints, but Excel does not. Any ideas? What is going on?

I have to completely delete my printer. I also tried to reinstall the
printer driver but it keeps giving me the same issue.

Currently, I have to disable my printer and use 'SAVE AS', then choose PDF
format. At the end of the day, I then reinstall my printer and print the
docs through the saved PDF File. It is a tedious process but this is the
only way I can print my documents.

Hi Ramir and Roma:

Try setting a resolution of 600 dpi or less in File>Print...

I am told this is an OS 10.5 "new feature" that confuses the Microsoft
applications if the resolution is too high.

Microsoft and Apple are working on it. In the meantime, if you set a
resolution of 600 dpi, printing should work.

Cheers
