Bookmarks in a large documents - DISAPPEARED!

My books marks in a very large documents keep disappearing. What is happening? Can some one please help. I have a two hundred page documents with several book marks and it is painful to keep losing them every time i open the Word next day. Please post your answer here or email me at (e-mail address removed). I will very much appreciate it.

Are they being overwritten? Are you editing in their vicinity? How do you
know they're disappearing? Can you give more detail about what you're
experiencing?
