bottom margin on one page

I'm writing a book. The bottom margin on all pages is about an inch,
except one page where it's about five inches. There's a large blank
space below the bottom line, which is five inches from the bottom of
the page. What's the deal? Using Mac OS 10.6.7 & Office/Word 97-2004.

Any chance that that page is a separate section with a different
footer defined?

Have you turned on paragraph view or looked at the footer to see
what those items might reveal?

Did you accidentally insert a page break (though that should show
up)? Is the next paragraph very large and you have "Keep Lines
Together" set for that paragraph format? Do you a have graphic
image on the next page?
