Budget, Actual Time, Percentage Completion

L

Lillian

I have been reading some prior posts but just want to try and clarify.

Example:
We have entered our budget and have actual time. One of the tasks we have
was budgeted for 255 hours and we have 66 hours in it. However, this task is
at 100%. We wanted to change the completion percentage to reflect that but
when we do it changes the actual hours to the budgeted hours. Is there a way
to keep it from doing this? We have to give reports from project to the
client to reflect our progress including tasks that are 100% and in progress
items, ect.

Thanks for any help you can give on this subject.

Hi Lillian,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

When you enter the Actual Work, enter the Remaining work as zero and Project
will set it at 100% for you - that should do what you want.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

Hi,

In whatever view show the column Remaining Work, put it to zero.
