[BUG] Outlook Today multiple errors

P

parasoniq

On loading Outlook, I receive an ActiveX error message at the top of the
Outlook Today window, and the image in the top-left of the window does not
load (red 'x'). Likewise, the 'Customize Outlook Today' button does not work.
If I then go to another folder, and then back to Outlook Today, nothing shows
up at all (the window is blank).
I have tried uninstalling the beta completely (I had upgraded from Office
2007 beta 1), deleting the PST files and reinstalling, no change.

Running:
Windows XP SP2, all updates installed
Windows Internet Explorer 7 beta 2
Office 2007 Beta 2

Running a virusscanner that integrates with Outlook/Office and/or does
script blocking/scanning? Disable this integration and try again.

I'm having this same type of an error. I disabled all as recommended, and
then more, but still get this same type of an error. Am using OneCare &
Defender & even turned them off, and disabled "Pop Up Blocker" in IE. Still
get the same problem.

No, I have no anti-virus software running; likewise, the Windows firewall is
disabled (though this should not have any effect). I have tried adding
outlook:// to the Internet Explorer trusted sites/local sites list, which
reduces security to the bare minimum, but even following the instructions to
disable ActiveX/File download prompting across the board has no effect.
