Bullets in slides not slide show

Jen

I'm doing a presentation & I have a lot of bullets in my slides. Most of
them are showing up in the slide show, but 2 of them will not. I tried
re-inserting them to no avail.

Please help.

Thanks,
Jen

Have you tried checking the effects that have been added? You probably want
to check which was the effect that has been added to the two bullets. If you
are using PowerPoint 2002/XP, see if you have added any Exit Effect at the
start.

Oh, I'm so frustrated. I figured it out. There was a space. But some of my
bullets are not really bulleted if that makes any sense.

Some of them do not indent the sentences the way bulleting is supposed to
do. Any idea why?

Sorry, I should have been more clear. The first word is indented 1 space
because of the bullet & every line after is lined up with the bullet.

On the outline pane, they look correct, but on the slide, they look incorrect.

Thanks again,
Jen

All of the ones that are bulleted incorrectly are in the Title & 2-column
layout. Maybe this is how it bullets items in 2 columns?

Jen,
Do the bullet points that aren't bulleted wrap onto more than one line? If
so, this is a known bug. I reported it quite a while ago. :)

Here is the situation: If an animated line of text starts with a space and
wraps onto a second line, when PPT displays the text, the bullet doesn't
display. I don't know why. It doesn't seem to matter whether the list is on
a slide with one placeholder or two.

To get the bullet to display correctly, you need to remove the space at the
beginning of the bullet text.

I'm not having a problem now with the bullets displaying.

It's that the text on the lines following lines up with the bullet instead
of with the text likes it's supposed to & there's no space between the bullet
& the text like there's supposed to be.

But it's only like that on my 2-column slides.

Try turning on the ruler (View|Rulers) and then, while you press the Ctrl
button, dragg the indent carat so the text aligns properly.

I'm not sure why you'd have this problem on your 2-column slides, unless
you've demoted the bullet points or something, and the lower-level bullet
points weren't aligned properly on the slide master -- that is, the text is
way close to the bullet point.
