At different times when I open Calendar in Entourage 2008 which connects to a server it crashes Entourage. Below is a log of the log. I use a PowerBook G4 running Tiger 10.4.11 (800Hmz - 768MB RAM - 160GB - 120GB of free space). I have found that removing all references to Microsoft Database daemon in Login Items has helped not make it crash as much.

Any suggestions on why it does crash based on the following log would be appreciated.

What is the best way to uninstall Office 2008?

At different times when I open Calendar in Entourage 2008 which connects to a
server it crashes Entourage. Below is a log of the log. I use a PowerBook G4
running Tiger 10.4.11 (800Hmz - 768MB RAM - 160GB - 120GB of free space).

You need more RAM. I suggest 2GB. It will be like getting a new computer.
768MB is barely enough to run the OS much less any applications.

It could be a corrupt event. In the Finder duplicate your Identity for
testing and name it test. Now open Entourage and switch over to this test
Identity.

There is a custom Calendar View "All Events". Select All and delete. If the
problem goes away then we know it was a bad event.

There is no easy way to find a specific event. Sometimes exporting and
deleting the data in Entourage, then importing will clear up the problem
with corrupt data. Another would be to use Sync Services and sync to iCal.
Delete all in Entourage and then turn back on Sync Services and let
Entourage sync to iCal to import.

File --> Export --> Entourage archive, select calendar event
and delete after exporting. Then Import the events back. Sometimes this will
clear up any corruption. If not you might have to create a new Identity and
import all of your data.

Let me know what you find.
Any suggestions on why it does crash based on the following log would be
appreciated.

Most of us cannot read logs. It's meant for developers. Sometimes you can
see a file mentioned that will help, but your log didn't show anything that
I can see to offer a solution.'
What is the best way to uninstall Office 2008?
Use "Remove Office" found in the Additional Tools folder in Office.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH Diane. Thank you again.
I am having problem even opening Entourage now.
Is it possible for me to copy the database in my Entourage identity to a brand new identity? This is in case I can't open Entourage anymore.
When I created a new user and set-up my exchange account it worked GREAT! I'm thinking the 3.26GB Database might be the problem. I repaired it in the last few days but I am still experiencing issues.

Thank you again.

Unless you can open Entourage, there is no way to get the data out. You
might try moving the Identity to a _huge_ drive and try rebuild there.

Use this as an incentive to start a good backup program.

This tutorial shows you how to make a time-machine-like backup. Works in
Tiger and Leopard.

Thanks again for your time. I will keep on plugging away with the hope that I can open Entourage and utilize the export option.
Thanks for the link.
I will let you know how it goes.

I couldn't get Entourage open again. There was a saved database from four days ago before the upgrade from 2004. I was able to get opened. I then exported a .rge file. Yeah!
I then deleted my main identity and re-created my account with my Exchange server. Then I imported the .rge file. So far it looks good.
I can open Calendar w/o any crashes.
I am keeping my fingers crossed.
Thank you again for all your help.

I suspect that there is a corrupted calendar event.
If the vent is local, you can try clearing it up through launching the
identity presing the alt key down, and rebuilding the identity,

If the event is on Excahnge, then it's a lot harder as you have to
identify the culprit and delete it from the server.
What is the best way to uninstall Office 2008?

Use the uninstaller that's in the Addiotional Tools folder in the Office
folder.
