calendar meetings - lose ownership if you are on invitee alias.

If I create a meeting and invite an email alais (ie a email list maintained outside of exchange) AND if
I am also member of the alias (a very common case), then you risk loosing ownership of the meeting or the meeting being deleted.

I have an auto tentive accept for my blackberry.
As soon as the blackberry does a tentive accept, the meeting changed change so that I am no longer the owner of the meeting and can no longer make any changes to the meeting. This has heppened several times.

Today a different thing happened. My meeting just got deleted. (again I was on the email alias on the invitee list).

This MS exchange is such a piece of crap.

I'm not quite familiar with the problem you're describing nor am I
following everything you said, but does this happen with just Entourage
or does it happen with Outlook for Windows?

If you're using Exchange Server 2007 then it tentatively accepts meeting
invitations for you. Your Blackberry setting may be conflicting with
this process.

Hope this helps!

I had a similar problem last fall (before I upgraded from 2004 to
2008), but just with other exchange members. When they replied
acceptance to a meeting, they would get ownership and I could no
longer control the meeting. I believe the problem was eventually
solved by patches to Exchange applied by our IT department BTW, I am
the only Mac user in my company, and no one else that I know of
experienced this problem, nor did I have it when I just used Outlook
2003 on my PC. I was not until I used Entourage to retrieve the
meetings that the ownership changed.
