I need to change the type of task in the calandar view. How do you change
the task type from critical/non-critica/marked?

Hi Arin,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

Criticality is determined by Project when analysing the data using the
Critical Path Method. You cannot change this other than by changing the
schedule. You might like to have a look at my series on Microsoft Project in
the TechTrax ezine, particularly #1 and the networks analysis introduction,
at this site: http://tinyurl.com/2xbhc or this:

(Perhaps you'd care to rate the article before leaving the site, :)
Thanks.)

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: <http://www.mvps.org/project/>

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

Arin,

It's easy.

In the Calendar View, select Format > Bar Styles, then pick you Task Type.

Arin,

I misread you question before. My answer was for formatting. You just need
to set a filter to drill down to the type of task you want to show in the
calendar.

In your example:

Marked = Yes
Critical = Yes (or No)

Hi,

Critical can't be set indeed but Marked can.
In the Gantt Chart view insert the column "Marked"
Set to yes for those tasks you want to see colored as "Marked".

Jan,

You are absolutely correct.

Critical is set by the user as a slack value , Tools > Options > Calculation
Tab > Last Item at the Bottom of the Window.

Then you can filter on the field Critical Yes (or No).

Arin, I am sorry if I misled you.

David
