calender, summary note, multiple doc hyperlink, password protectio

Hi, I’ve spent hours trying to find solutions to the following
problems,,,,hope someone can help with some or all. Thanks in advance
1. CALANDER DURATION PROBLEMS. I have around 20 MS project files, all
inserted/linked into a master file. In both files i have adjusted the
standard calender to 7 work hours. I also use a shared resource pool file,
with calender set to 7 work hours. Problem is when I assign 1 day to a task
in any project file, the master project regards it as 0.88 day., meaning the
master project still regards a day as 8 hours . this happens for all task,
whether resources are assigned or not.
2. SAVING FORMATTED TEXT IN 0 SUMMARY TASK NOTE....
a. When I enter a note in the summary task, and click OK to close the
dialogue box etc, it saves formatting OK. BUT when i save the whole doc,
formatting is removed, and reverts to normal unformatted txt. Formatting is
saved fine in other task, just not the summary task.
3. INSERTING MULTIPLE DOCS TO A TASK...anyone know how to do this?? I’m
finding project will only allow one document linked
4. SET DURATION TO 1 DEC POINT...the duration column in gant chart defaults
to 2 decimal points, eg 1.56 days. Anyone know how to change to 1 or 0
decimal points??
5. PRINT HORIZONTAL READING LINES ON GANT CHART CALENDER SECTION. Would love
to know if this is possible, so its easy to see/align tasks with their
calander details when looking at printouts.
6. PASSWORD/ACCESS PROTECTION ON FILES...I cant see how to do this...like in
excel or word etc. I’m needing to give password protection for opening a
document, and editing a document.

Hello PG,
My comments answers are in-line.

As Trevor noted, the settings in the Master Project need to match the
settings in the subprojects. Copy the calendar over to the Master
project through Tools > Organizer. Then adjust the "day" definition
through Tools > Options, Calendar tab.
2. SAVING FORMATTED TEXT IN 0 SUMMARY TASK NOTE....

I see the same issue with Project 2007, SP-2. Sorry I don't have an
answer for you.
3. INSERTING MULTIPLE DOCS TO A TASK...anyone know how to do this?? I’m

Consider putting the documents into a single folder and setting the
hyperlink to a folder -- not a single document.
4. SET DURATION TO 1 DEC POINT...the duration column in gant chart defaults
to 2 decimal points, eg 1.56 days. Anyone know how to change to 1 or 0
decimal points??

Sorry, no. You could create a custom field and format the data, but it
will still calculate to 2 decimal places.
5. PRINT HORIZONTAL READING LINES ON GANT CHART CALENDER SECTION. Would love
to know if this is possible, so its easy to see/align tasks with their
calander details when looking at printouts.

Format > Gridlines, choose Gantt rows. Set a line style and color.
6. PASSWORD/ACCESS PROTECTION ON FILES...I cant see how to do this...like in
excel or word etc. I’m needing to give password protection for opening a
document, and editing a document.

File > Save As, click the Tools button (next to the Save button in
Project 2007), General options.
